Punchline , on the other hand , is banking on her followers because she knows that their anger will keep the Joker ’s influence going whether she ’s shamed or not guilty . They ’re basically her wild plug-in , and she ’s using them to keep the fear of the Joker going . She is making this political , knowing that politics are what ’s keeping Joker ’s grip on Gotham alive and well . This arguably makes her scarier that Phoenix ’s Joker because she give the case that she ’s basically unassailable and a whipping boy for something that Gotham will never rightfully turn tail .
It ’s astonishing to see just how much the 2019Jokerfilm has influenced DC since its liberation . see a similar take on the iconic final scene make its way to the strip shows just how much staying baron this film will have as the years go on . Now withPunchlinefilling the shoes ofJoaquin Phoenix’sJokerin the funnies , it ’ll be interesting to see where her character croak next once theJokercomics fall to an end .
