In Geoff Johns , David Gibbons , and Patrick Gleason’sGreen Lantern Corps : reload # 2 , Kyle Rayner ventures out with a squadron of Lanterns to respond to a suffering call from the living planet , Mogo . After the team dispatches war Rannian and Thanagarian ships , Mogo allow his fellow to unwind on his surface . However once the Lanterns touch base , Kyle shockingly discovers Alexandra in the woods . Though she ’s actually just a genial sound projection that Kyle has of Alex , Kyle still takes the prison term to apologize for what pass , saying that if Ganthet had never given Kyle his ring , Alex would still be alive .

Alex ’s expiry is perhaps most noteworthy for being the namesake of the‘Women in Refrigerators ' tropeor ‘ fridging ’ as it ’s colloquially known .
