Meanwhile , Wilson Fisk seems to step away from a life as a supervillain , as the comic end with him baffle on a boat and getting an unlikely well-chosen ending .
Kingpin has gone for power like never before in the recently concludedDevil ’s Reignevent . The New York city manager assembled his own Thunderbolt ’s squad to take down Marvel ’s superlative hoagy while using the Purple Man to thinker - control them against one another . Fisk consider he finally defeat Daredevil for goodafter taking down Mike Murdock , Matt ’s brother , but after see he did n’t get his ultimate triumph , he ’s defeated and taken to prison . But , as has happened with many supervillains before him , Kingpin does n’t make it to prison house - alternatively he ’s offered a new persona in the Marvel Universe .

In the lofty finis ofDevil ’s Reignby Chip Zdarsky , Marco Checchetto , Marcio Menyz , and VC"s Clayton Cowles , a still bloodied Kingpinis greet by the crime family , the Stromwyns , who offer his son Butch total granting immunity in New York as long as he keeps crime high in area they plan on buying up . The Stromwyns reveal they need Fisk to run for President still , as Kingpin would work for them as a free man . However , Kingpin rejects their offer and murders the Stromwyns , deny to make a deal with the dickens and play for someone else . Instead , Fisk tells Butch that since he was n’t there for him , he can provide him something better : his drapery as Kingpin .
Wilson Fisk tells his son Butch that he can tell others through the streets that he murdered him and rose to take what is his . As the fresh Kingpin , he ’s got a " story for a king,“as he will command respect for vote down his father . After go out his boy in an emotional state , Kingpin sail off into the sunlight alongside Typhoid Mary , get a surprise happy ending alongside his cracking making love .
Butch Fisk is the new Kingpin in the Marvel Universe , as Wilson Fisk seems to have put his life of criminal offense behind him for the time being . However , Kingpin lay up his son with the perfect ( albeit fake ) backstoryto take over his role . Will Butch be as penalize as his father as the newKingpin ?
