There ’s no dubiousness that Batman and the Bat - Family have extensive account with the Joker . After all , Joker has systematically made it a stage to torture not just Batman but those that work with him as well . Even though he is not as much of a forcible scourge as Deathstroke , Joker has undeniably left scars on the Bat - Family by paralyzing Barbara Gordon andeven killing Jason Todd .

But Deathstroke ’s relationship with the Bat - Family is more personal , as seen inDark Crisis # 2by Joshua Williamson and Daniel Sampere . Since Batman and the relaxation of the Justice League are presumed dead or missing in action at law , it ’s up to Nightwing to rally the persist superheroes in face the come crisis . But Deathstroke is being guided by Pariah to dispute these new champion . They started by torturing andnearly defeat Beast Boy . Deathstroke himself then agitate Nightwing one on one . The animosity that he has shown towards Nightwing is declarative of the incredible grievance the two of them have because of Deathstroke ’s chronicle with the Teen Titans .
And it ’s not just Dick Grayson that Deathstroke has story with either . Recently during theShadow Warstoryline , Damian Wayne and his category went toe - to - toe with Deathstroke because Slade was frame formurdering Ra ’s al Ghul . This created another personal vendetta between Deathstroke and one of Batman ’s crony . So although Deathstroke and Batman have their own chronicle , Deathstroke is still write his own personal history with each member of the Bat - Family .
This is in contrast with someone like the Joker , who is so obsessed with Batman that everything he does is in sexual intercourse to that compulsion . Even kill Jason Todd andparalyzing Batgirl was not about visit painand suffering upon them . Joker did those thing to involve Batman rather than anyone else . So this goes to show that althoughJokeris still a threat and can bust up havoc on the Bat - Family , he is not their true foeman becauseDeathstrokehas form more of a personal grudge with each member , rather than just Batman himself .
