In a re - imagining of the DC Universe as dinosaur , the Jurassic League takes place during a prehistoric time where several dinosaurs are imbued with superpowers . There aredinosaur versions of Superman , Batman , Wonder Woman and more . There are even versions of baddie such as Joker , Black Manta , and the Reverse - Flash . The story travel along the heroes as they try out to stop the villains from snatch archaic humans for some nefarious purpose .

InThe Jurassic League # 4by Juan Gedeon , Daniel Warren Johnson , and Jon Mikel , the dinosaur Aquaman , Aquanyx , follows the wound Blackmantasaurus into a cave . There , Aquaman find that the villains have been go together to bring the human to some sort of testis they call the Dark Embryo . The orchis is absorbing the life force of the humans to acquire . And as the nut is on the brink of crosshatch , he even pull his villain minion deep down and wipe out them for further nutrition . When he has enough DOE , theegg cracks and a dinosaur version of Darkseidreveals himself as the series ' independent villain .
This version is called Darkyloseid and appears to have come from distance like his DC Universe opposite number . But besides being a dinosaur and having produce in an egg , there is still one huge and celebrated difference between him and the main DC Universe version of the character . Besides having his own minions on Apokolips , for the most part , Darkseid remain part from the rest of the villains in the DC Universe . The Earth - based villain sometimes interact with each other and team up , butDarkseid lives far awayand does n’t necessarily have the opportunity to interact with the more uncouth villains .
So it is foreign that this dinosaur version of Darkseid has an entire team of villains doing his unsportsmanlike oeuvre for him . He has some of DC ’s most classic scoundrel working for him to ramp up up his strength so that he could hatch . The normal Darkseid will often use minions , but seldom collaborates with DC ’s most famous scoundrel . In this regard , the dinosaur rendering has a leg up on the even Darkseid . Of course , the serial is not over and the genuine nature of Darkseid ’s plans have yet to be break . But no matter , it ’s still interesting thatthis version of Darkseidhas been able to engage a whole squad of villains to do his bid when the fearsomeDarkseidof the main universe never has .
