At one point in the fight when he thinks he has the upper helping hand , he gloats that Manta and everyone else wo n’t be able to express joy at him ever again . However , Black Manta respond by revealingsomething much more heartrending : he does n’t express mirth at Scavenger , because he never even intend about him . In fact , nobody in the DC Universe even cares about the Scavenger .
