This all take place inBatman : Killing Time # 3 , which was written by Tom King and illustrate by David Marquez . WhenBatman eventually catches up to the sceneof the wreckage , he finds the Batmobile ignited in a fiery blaze . Using his investigator skills , Batman is able to derive that the Batmobile ’s fourteenth natural gas armored combat vehicle explode upon the first shock of the vehicle ’s tumble down the cliffside . It is a simple railway line , but it explain a lot about the legendary car ’s mechanics and maintenance .

One interesting question about the Batmobile involves its fuel beginning . It does n’t calculate like there are any natural gas ticker inside the Batcave . And it would be pretty absurd if Batman just pull the Batmobile up to a gas station and go fill up . But the fact Batman identify the 14th gas tank explains a lot . This means that theBatmobile does n’t need to fulfill up like a regular car .   Batman might regain flatulence somewhere , but then he could drive for an passing long fourth dimension before he has to fill up again . This is extremely helpful if Batman is stuck on a case because the last thing he would want to have to see during a car pursuit is the   gas   light come on .

But there is a tremendous downside to this . Under normal condition , gasolene in a car could potentially be grave in a crash . But having 14 gas tanks , all filled to the brim , would   in effect turn the Batmobile into a bomb on wheels . Any sorting of smash or explosion that ignite one of those tanks would mean that Batman would be in big trouble . And he drive very crazily , so it ’s even more of a possibility . Then again , for someone who survive day in and mean solar day out fence by danger , Batmanis plausibly not all that concernedabout getting in a fender bender with theBatmobile .
